The Blaueishütte 

The refuge of the DAV Berchtesgaden Section is continuously managed from mid-May to mid-October.

It is an optimal starting point for summit tours on Steinberg, Schärtenspitze and Hochkalter and for the numerous climbing tours in the Blaueis area.

Because of the not too long ascent to the hut, you can comfortably reach the Blaueishütte as a leisurely day tour. The easy path is also doable in rainy weather.
