Hut equipment

The Blaueishütte is an ideal base for all undertakings in the Blaueis area. We offer our guests optimal conditions for a pleasant (multi-day) stay:

• Cozy guest room with tiled stove and two adjoining rooms, which can also be used as teaching rooms.
• Hut terrace with wonderful view of the high alpine scenery of the Hochkalter massif and the picturesque Hintersee in the valley
• 80 sleeping places: 40 sleeping places in multi-bed rooms, 40 sleeping places in mattress dormitories (24 of them in the rustic adjoining hut, ideal for accommodating larger groups)
• Drying room and cottage shoes for the guests
• Washrooms with running (cold) water, hot showers can be used for a fee.
• W-Lan - we ask for your understanding that this is only possible for a fee, as the provision is associated with considerable effort.

As the bearer of the Alpine Club's environmental seal of approval, we attach great importance to sustainability and the economical use of resources in our management.

Kitchen

We value sustainability and good taste - that's why we're taking part in the Alpine Club campaign "how the mountains taste".
With us you can enjoy alpine specialties made from regional food as much as possible. All dishes are freshly prepared for you on site - partly still on our old wood oven.
On our menu you will find classics like schnitzel, fried potatoes and Kaiserschmarrn as well as delicious stews and hearty snacks. 
Vegetarian and partly also vegan dishes round off the offer. And as a small reward for the climb, a delicious piece of cake and a good cup of coffee from our portafilter machine may not be missing of course!
For our overnight guests we offer a fine 3-course dinner menu consisting of soup, main course (optional vegetarian) and salad, as well as a delicious dessert

Our service hours:

• Breakfast:  6.00 - 8.00 a.m
• Snacks: 9.00 - 04.00 p.m
• Warm kitschen: 11.00 - 04.00 p.m,  (Soups and stews until 07.30 p.m)
• Evening menu: at 6.30 p.m
• Drinks: 6.00 - 09.45 p.m

On our menu you will also find vegetarian and vegan dishes. In the evening menu is always a vegetarian main course to choose from. If you would like a vegan dinner menu or if you have any intolerances/allergies, please contact us in good time (approx. 1 week before arrival) by email. We will be happy to provide information about allergens and ingredients in our dishes on site..
