General Terms and Conditions of the Alpine Club Hut "Blaueishütte am Hochkalter"
1.Obligation to register and ID
a.Entry in the hut book
Every overnight guest must enter their names in the hut book upon arrival and, if necessary, comply with further registration regulations. To make it easier to find casualties and missing persons, every hut guest is recommended to indicate the destination of the mountain tour and the mobile phone number in the hut book.
2. Entitlement to sleeping places
a. Preferential entitlement to sleeping places
The following have a preferential claim to a place to sleep before all hut guests:
• Sick or injured persons who cannot be expected to descend or be transported to the valley;
• Rescue teams on duty.
b. Hygienic requirements
The use of a hut sleeping bag is mandatory for all sleeping places.
c. Conditions
1. Advance orders may be accepted for a maximum of 90% of the sleeping places. Registration or reservation of the sleeping place is only possible via the online reservation system of the Alpine Club huts.
2. If a reservation request for a sleeping place is made and the hut tenant or provided for short-term bookings, an accommodation contract has been concluded. A legally binding contract is also concluded verbally, especially by telephone, unless the written form has been expressly agreed.
3. If, after reservation in accordance with point 1, individual or all sleeping places reserved by the guest are not used, the following cancellation fees per sleeping place and night will be due in the event of cancellation or no-show by the guest:
For cancellations from 5 days (= day of arrival 6.00 p.m. minus 120 hours) before the start of the stay, or for a group size of 10 or more people 10 days (= day of arrival 6.00 p.m. minus 240 hours):
5. The above-mentioned period is calculated from the date of receipt of the guest's cancellation by the hut lessee. Postponing the booking to a later date corresponds to a cancellation and rebooking with a fee
6. The cancellation of a booking affects the entire booking, even if individual days of the booking are outside the 5-day period. In the event of early departure and incomplete use of the booked seats, a cancellation fee must be paid for the reserved but unused overnight stays.
7. A free cancellation is generally possible if it can be proven that it is not possible to access the hut or travel to the starting point due to force majeure. The tenants must be informed immediately in the event of withdrawal!
Unsuitable tour conditions from the hut are no reason for a free cancellation.
8. All decisions regarding tours, routes, weather and avalanche situations, etc. are the responsibility of the guest. The liability of the hut managers for damage of any kind is excluded.
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance before booking a hut. For this purpose, the DAV/ÖAV/AVS offers insurance for members.

The nightly rate for dogs is 21,--
Accompanying persons of people with disabilities according to their disability card stay free of charge.
The fees must always be paid on site at the tenant's premises.
b.Overcrowding
Overcrowding does not justify a tariff reduction. Please note that camping and camping in Berchtesgaden National Park is strictly prohibited and may result in hefty fines.
4. First aid material
First aid materials are to be provided in the hut to the necessary extent by the hut administration and are available in the anteroom.
5. Behaviour in the hut and its surroundings
a. Consideration and waste disposal
Every visitor must behave so considerately in the hut and its surroundings that he or she does not disturb other people. The hut and its surroundings must be kept clean, and all guests must take their own waste into the valley for proper disposal in order to protect the mountain world.
b. Hut rest
In general, there should be peace and quiet in the hut from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Those who get up early must behave in such a way that they do not disturb the peace of the hut.
c. Making music and concerts
Playing musical instruments is only permitted in agreement with the hut management. Musical performances for an entrance fee are generally not permitted.
d. Radio, television and music equipment
Radio, television and music equipment may not be used in the lounges and bedrooms or in the hut area. Exceptions are the receipt of the weather and avalanche report or the operation of audio devices with headphones outside the hut silence. The hut management may allow exceptions for certain enclosed rooms if there is a guarantee that the guests in the other rooms will not be disturbed by this.
e. Smoke
Smoking is prohibited throughout the cottage.
f. Behaviour in the bedroom
Neither cooking nor eating is allowed in the bedrooms. They may not be entered with mountain boots and ski boots. Handling with an open flame (candles, gas stoves, etc.) is not permitted.
g. What to do if there is a lack of space
If there is a lack of space, seats in the guest rooms may not be occupied in advance; consideration must be given to those waiting.
g. Bringing pets
Pets are prohibited in all bedrooms, unless a room is declared in which mountain rescue and guide dogs (etc.) can also spend the night, which is of particular importance. In any case, the accommodation of animals must be clarified in advance with the hut administration.
At the Blaueishütte there is the possibility that a maximum of 1 dog per night can stay together with the dog owner. However, the following should be noted:
• Prior reservation is essential
• For hygienic reasons, dogs are not allowed to lie in bed or on the AVDecks. Dogs are only allowed to stay overnight in the adjoining house, at least one person must spend the night with the dog
• An appropriate pet blanket must be carried by the pet owner.
• A reasonable cleaning fee of 21€ will be charged for the overnight stay.
h. Damage
Any negligent or intentional damage to the hut or its furnishings must be borne by the person who caused it. The parents or the persons accompanying them are responsible for the behaviour of children.
6. Supervision, complaints
a. Domiciliary rights
The hut administration exercises the domiciliary rights.
b.Violation of the hut rules
Anyone who does not comply with the hut rules can be expelled from the hut.
c. Handling complaints
Complaints and complaints are to be resolved on the spot. If this is not possible, they must be sent in writing to the hut team.
